The Photographer

Who is Shannon Sasaki:

I’m a local girl, born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu (Kaimuki girl). My journey with photography began in high school, where I fell madly in love with the art of black-and-white film photography, developing my own images in a darkroom. Over the years, I explored different areas of photography, but everything changed when I was invited to second-shoot a wedding. That day sparked a passion I couldn’t ignore, and I knew instantly that this was what I was meant to do.  Capturing timeless memories for people to cherish for a lifetime brings me so much joy. There's nothing more fulfilling than capturing life's most meaningful moments and preserving them through my lens.

I currently split my time between two places—Hawaii and the Bay Area. My love of 12 years (now wife as of 10/22/22) works at Pixar Animation Studios. Yes, we’re rockin the long-distance relationship, filled with daily FaceTime calls and syncing up Netflix for date nights.  We both support each other's hustle and there isn't anything I wouldn't do to make it work with her.  Since I'm always flying back and forth, it allows me to accept shoots in the NorCal area as well.  *Halloween is my all time favorite holiday! Exploring every haunted house around the world is a goal of mine.

*Bring me sweets or tequila... we become best friends.

*Music and concerts are my biggest escape. I love to dance and get lost in some good beats!
